El Colectivo 506’s Katherine Stanley Obando highlights the impact of resiliency and innovation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nature guide Rebeca Quirós, already raising funds with Ann Becker through the Drake Bay Emergency Fund, saw an urgent need to protect the natural resources of the Osa Peninsula and Corcovado National Park. Rebecca and AGUINADRA developed COVIRENAS, which offers a monthly stipend to volunteers to patrol and protect the park.
